October 28, 2010 — Revere America Continues "Pledge to Win" Campaign with Massive Get-Out-the-Vote Effort
Signed Petitions, Mail, Phone Calls to Repeal, Replace Healthcare Law
Washington, DC- Former New York Governor George Pataki, Chairman of Revere America, today announced a coordinated and wide-reaching get out the vote effort to remind Americans that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) needs to be repealed and replaced.
Revere America will target the top 100 House races and the top 5 Senate races with direct mail to 300,000 voters and automated phone calls recorded by Gov. Pataki to registered voters reminding them to vote.
One million Americans have now signed the Revere America petition to repeal the healthcare law. These will be delivered to Capitol Hill.
“The American people have made their concern known over this law and they will deliver a clear message on November 2,” said Governor Pataki. “People feel like they have been handed an unworkable system they neither trust nor understand. We will remind voters to hold their Congressmen and Senators accountable.”
Revere America is not opposing Democrats who voted against the healthcare law.
Over the last several weeks, Governor Pataki campaigned in Congressional districts in Pennsylvania, California, Iowa and New York on the “Pledge to Win” campaign, which is aimed at Members of Congress and includes television ads in targeted districts, campaign activities in those districts and an aggressive effort calling on every incumbent Member of Congress and every candidate for Congress to pledge to Repeal and Replace the PPACA with a plan that has broad-based support.
